The 8th Iranian congress of pediatric endocrinology and metabolism was held on June 10th-12th in Sari, Mazandaran. The congress covered the topics of diabetes, hereditary metabolic diseases, thyroid, growth, and puberty disorders. It was very well attended with a large number of pediatric endocrinologists. Farir Teb, as a silver sponsor of this event, was featured on the congress web site and was eligible to have three advertisements in the congress agenda. We also had the opportunity to organize a lecture and a workshop in accordance with our marketing strategies. Almost all pediatrics visited Farir Teb booth where we proudly introduced extr3me technology in PiC insulin pen needles and the innovative GLUCOCARD™ KIDs solution that addressed the need to individualize blood glucose monitoring systems for diabetic children.
Besides being accurate and precise, glucose monitoring in diabetic children needs to be customized based on the choice of children. This helps addressing one of the most important challenges of SMBG in children by giving them a right to choose the appearance of their meter and transforming the environment with favoring children care. For the physicians to get familiar with this concept, we planned our lecture to be about the importance of Self-Monitoring of Blood Glucose in diabetic children and the challenges of SMBG in children which are all addressed in GLUCOCARD™ KIDs solution. This lecture was given by Dr. Hedie Saneyfard, pediatric endocrinologist. We also arranged a SMBG workshop which was ran by Dr. Hossein Dehghanmanshadi, pediatric endocrinologist, where the participants experienced testing their blood glucose levels with GLUCOCARD 01™ system and were fascinated by the ease of use of GLUCOCARD 01™ system.
